Abuse Prevention will help you understand, identify, and respond to different types of abuse. It includes:
- Recognizing the signs of possible abuse
- Person centered thinking in relation to identifying and reporting abuse
- Mandatory Reporting procedures and responsibilities
- Self-reporting abuse, and the challenges individuals in services face that hinder self-reporting
- Practices to support caregivers, including creating self-care plans
- Most effective when taken with NMSC’s “Individual Rights” course
