Dr. Andrew Pitts
Melanie Worley, a commissioner for 10 years before coming to NMSC, received the Distinguished Service Award from ADMHN in 2009 for her work in helping protect benefits for mentally ill individuals, was the Colorado Counties, Inc. Commissioner of the year in 2001, and won the Colorado Counties, Inc. Distinguished Service Award in 2008. In 2015, Melanie was appointed by Governor John Hickenlooper to the Respite Care Task Force. Among numerous other posts, Melanie serves on the Board of Directors for Parker Arts, Culture and Events (PACE) Center and Arapahoe/Douglas Mental Health Network. Melanie also served as past chairwoman of the Highlands Ranch Chamber. She has been chairwoman of the Denver Regional Council of Governments, initiated the formation of the Partnership of Douglas County Governments, and received a federal appointment to the Local Government Advisory Committee, providing local perspective to the Environmental Protection Agency.
Lloyd Sweet serves as the President and Chief Financial Officer of Nonprofit Management Services of Colorado. Lloyd received his Bachelor’s degree in accounting from Florida State University, is a registered CPA in Colorado, and has over 40 years of experience in accounting, consulting, financial analysis, fundraising, budgeting, and strategic planning. He has worked as a managing partner and consulting/tax partner for large accounting firms in Colorado. The last firm Lloyd served as a partner for was Eide Bailly. Lloyd also possesses a vast knowledge of the nonprofit industry. Not only did he serve on the Developmental Pathways Board of Directors for nearly 20 years as the President/Treasurer, he has also served on the Board of Directors for Adam’s Camp, RAFT (Resource Area for Teaching), The Denver Teacher’s Awards, the Jefferson Symphony Orchestra, and the Community Housing Developmental Association. Lloyd has been the recipient of the Colorado Society of CPA’s 2006 Everyday Hero Award and Adam’s Camp Kevin Taylor Award for Service. He was also named one of Denver’s top ten CPAs for 3 straight years.
Matt brings over 20 years of multi-unit and executive leadership and management experience to our organization. He has a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and Management from the University of Phoenix and a Master in Business Administration (MBA), Healthcare Management from Western Governors’ University. Matt currently serves as the chairperson for the El Paso County Human Services Advisory Committee, is a Governor appointed member of the Colorado State Board of Health, and board member for the American Association on Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities. Matt is also an active participant in Alliance Association, and the American Network of Community Options and Resources (ANCOR). Previously, he worked as the Director for Children, Youth and Families for Jefferson County Human Services, Vice President of Operations for Hard Rock Café, and Vice President of Operations for Olive Garden. Matt lives in Colorado Springs with his wife and two beautiful children.
Erica joined the NMSC team in February 2014 and has responsibility for leading the human resources, learning and development, communications and project management teams. Prior, she worked in Human Resources at Qdoba Restaurant Corporation for 11 years, serving as an HR Director for the last seven years. She began her career in Human Resources with Wild Oats Markets, where she served as an HR Coordinator, Regional HR Manager and National Recruiting Manager for six years. Erica holds a B.A. in Psychology from CU-Denver and has expertise in partnering with teams on needs analysis, set-up, and execution of integrated human resources and training strategies and functions that help organizations attract, select, engage and retain the best talent.
Donald serves as the Vice President of Strategic Operations, responsible for the effective, customer-centric operation of resources spanning the Information Technology, Project Management Office (PMO), and Property Management departments. He also leads as the primary customer advocate in support of the professional staff of Developmental Pathways, Continuum of Colorado, SUN Foundation, and NMSC, serving individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Don joined NMSC in April 2016. Prior to joining NMSC, Don served as a Chief Information Officer in public school districts ranging from 12,000 to 125,000 students, and as a Chief Electronics Technician in the United States Navy – retiring after 20 years of service in complex assignments spanning the globe.
